Roles and Responsibilities

1) Supervise WWTP activities and ensure WWTP is clean and in smooth operation, including the handling of WWTP 5S, housekeeping and waste disposal.

2) Ensure the final discharge adheres to the Environmental Quality Act 1974. It includes but is not limited to quotation requisition/water sampling arrangement for external lab analysis and follow up to ensure the completion of this activity chain.

3) Documentation - Ensure data collection and recording are updated for WWTP Operation, Maintenance and Laboratory, ensure WWTP operates according to the standard operating procedure, conduct training to the WWTP team regularly, handle the yearly equipment calibration, arrange the working schedule of the team, etc.

4) Data analysis – Analyze the performance monitoring data and take remedial actions to resolve the issue. To include the prevention to assure all treatment processes are working well and the parameters are within the limit range.

5) Maintenance – Establishment of autonomous maintenance work instruction (WI) for WWTP equipment & facilities. Liaise, communicate and facilitate maintenance team for the WWTP equipment service, repair, improvement and upgrading work.

6) Responsible to perform inventory checking and reordering of all consumables: chemical, spare parts, etc. Always ensure sufficient stock in WWTP for the treatment system to work efficiently.

7) Respond to emergencies in WWTP swiftly to minimize environmental and operational consequences.

8) Conduct continuous WWTP improvements to optimize the treatment processes and working conditions.

9) Send a WWTP KPI report every month.

10) Participate in the EMS related activities.

Competency & Training acquired

1) Qualification: Professional Certificate, Diploma, Degree

2) Required skills: Problem-solving ability, autonomy, leadership experience, communication skills (Bahasa Malaysia and English), data analysis, computer skills

3) Basic knowledge in handling/operating Industrial Effluent Treatment System.

4) Years of Experience: Minimum 1 year.
