Vacancy: Technician – AV (Audio Visual)

Location: The Magellan Sutera Resort

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and reliable AV Technician to join our Technical Services team. The role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining audio-visual equipment for events, meetings, and daily operations within the resort.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot AV equipment (sound systems, microphones, projectors, LED screens, etc.) for meetings, banquets, and functions.
  • Provide technical support during live events to ensure smooth operations.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and testing of AV systems.
  • Assist in installing new AV equipment and ensuring proper cabling and connections.
  • Coordinate with the Banquet, Events, and IT teams to fulfill AV requirements.
  • Ensure all AV assets are properly stored and maintained after use.
  • Adhere to all safety and operational standards.

Requirements:

  • Certificate or Diploma in Electrical, Electronic, or related technical field.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in AV setup and support, preferably in a hotel or event environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and technical skills.
  • Willing to work on shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
