Banquet Steward

Job Overview:

A Banquet Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization of banquet areas, assisting with food and beverage service, and ensuring the efficient operation of the event space. This role involves working closely with event staff to support the successful delivery of banquet services and upholding high standards of hygiene, safety, and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with courteousness and pleasantness.
• Be attentive to guests' needs and respond promptly.
• Maintain and manage proper use of all banquet equipment.
• Resolve guest complaints promptly and satisfactorily.
• Ensure cleanliness and neatness of all serving areas.
• Ensure personalized service to guests.
• Set tables and dinner sets.
• Escort guests to the dining area.
• Manage traffic flow of guests in room.
• Ensure VIP treatment to each guest at the banquet.
• Implement best standards in serving guests.

Requirement

• Candidate must possess at least SPM/STPM/Diploma in any discipline
• At least 1 year experience in a banquet, hospitality, or food service environment is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Physical stamina to handle manual labor (lifting, bending, standing for extended periods).
• Able to work over the weekends and Public Holiday.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Contract

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM1, RM2,600.00 per month
