Position Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Financial Analyst to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in managing the financial aspects of various projects, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, and providing the financial insight necessary for effective decision-making. This role will enable seamless project management from a financial perspective while allowing the Financial Controller to focus on strategic initiatives and driving profitable growth.

Job Description:

  1. Financial Management of Projects

  2. Develop and maintain detailed project budgets, forecasts, and financial models.

  3. Monitor project costs, ensuring expenditures are in line with budgets and identifying variances for corrective action.
  4. Prepare and analyze project financial reports, including profit and loss statements, cash flow forecasts, and cost analysis.
  5. Partner with project managers to ensure financial integrity throughout the project lifecycle.

Financial Reporting and Analysis

  • Deliver accurate and timely financial reports to stakeholders, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide insights on key drivers impacting project performance.
  • Track financial milestones and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

3.
Support Strategic Initiatives

  • Collaborate with the Financial Controller to identify and implement process improvements, enhancing overall financial management efficiency.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business growth initiatives and strategic decision-making.
  • Assist in preparing presentations and reports for senior management and stakeholders.

4. 
Compliance and Risk Management

  • Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Support audit processes by providing necessary documentation and explanations for project-related financials.

  • Identify financial risks within projects and develop mitigation strategies.

  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, standards and work instructions.

  • Any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business.

Qualification & Skills:

  1. Education and Experience

  2. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

  3. Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA, CMA) is a plus.
  4. Proven experience in project financial analysis, budgeting, or a related role

2. 
Technical Skills

  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and experience with financial software (e.g., SAP, Dynamics 365, or similar systems).
  • Familiarity with project management tools and practices is a plus.

3. 
Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Highly organized, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
