Chargeman A1

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and talented Chargeman A1 to join our dynamic team at WINTECH SOLUTION ENGINEERING SDN BHD. As a full-time role based in Melaka, Melaka, you will be responsible for providing field work & support to our electrical and mechanical projects.

Operating and maintaining low-voltage (LV) electrical systems up to their license scope, performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting electrical faults, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. Often requires managing an in-house substation, overseeing daily operations, and acting as the main point of contact for utility providers and regulatory bodies like the Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Energy Commission).

• System operation and maintenance: Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot LV electrical systems and equipment. This includes the maintenance and operation of 11kV substations and supporting equipment.
• Preventive and corrective maintenance: Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical equipment to prevent breakdowns. Rectify damage and breakdowns when they occur.
• Safety and compliance: Ensure all electrical work is performed safely and in compliance with regulatory standards and the company's A1 license.
• Fault finding: Troubleshoot and rectify electrical faults in various systems, including lighting circuits, fans, and irrigation pump panels.
• Coordination and reporting: Liaise with utility providers (e.g., TNB) and regulatory bodies (e.g., Suruhanjaya Tenaga) and act as a point of contact for them.
• Installation and upgrades: Install and upgrade electrical systems as needed, potentially including solar panels and supporting equipment.
• Requirements:
  
  A valid Malaysian A1 Chargeman license from the Energy Commission.
  
  A minimum of three years of experience in electrical equipment operation.
  
  At least one year of experience in installation and low-voltage aerial line maintenance is often required.
