About the Role

To lead and design solutions for AIA group functions in alignment with enterprise architecture and group IT strategy.
Additionally, oversee project activities and deliverables for data projects such as platform provisioning, supporting and rationalizing data platform for various group functions such as Finance, Distribution, Risk, Treasury, Investments, HR, Actuarial and Operations

Leadership and Management (40%)

• Ensure key stakeholders are engaged, participating in delivery, and have their needs met upon project completion
• Collaborate with various teams to achieve deliverables
• Onboard and work with China development team for design, build and testing.
• Complete and gain timely approvals of necessary governance documents
• Lead and run business and technology governance forums.
• Drive the TBP and ADR process
• Lead the architecture initiatives in alignment with Group IT strategy

Deliverables and Responsibilities (60%)

• Hands-on technology architecture design & implementation in alignment with Enterprise Architecture practices & Data Strategy as follow:
  • Solution / application design
  • Data lake / data warehouse / Datamart
  • ETL solution integrating data source from internal/external & regional/local business units,
  • Data virtualization
  • Azure technology components
• Proven track record of architecting, estimating, and leading projects end-to-end while meeting customer expectations, with a solid solution design experience, business expertise, and IT knowledge
• The role primarily focuses on project-based IT solution design roadmap plan that factor technology investments and risks, while providing value to the organization by improving business process and simplifying architecture
• Follow system development life cycle, documents all the necessities (e.g., Functional Specification, testing plan & result, etc.) and ensure audit requirements are met
• Project planning and execution; adhere to project timeline
• Project budget preparation, forecast and cost control
• Drive the implementation & transition to BAU operation mode
• Provide guidance to off-shore development and support team, coordinating with other Group IT teams & vendors, etc.
• Achieve audit compliance for team activities & deliverables
• Manage project risks and issues; Drive for resolution
• Stakeholder management

 Job Requirements:

• Technical and Leadership Skill (Primary Focus)
• University graduate major in IT or equivalent
• 6+ years' experience in IT including data centric application development/support, enterprise architecture, data and solution architecture, and project management and minimal 7+ years in senior Leadership roles.
• 5 years' relevant experience in data lake, data warehouse, and data-mart implementation; Preferably in Insurance and/or financial industry
• Have solid experience in data delivery technologies, provisioning data services using Microsoft data management-related products, Azure cloud infrastructure (e.g., Databricks, SQL, ADLS, data analysis tools and Azure Data Factory)
• Experience working with business partners and digital product owners to understand specific requirements that drive the need for IT solutions
• Have regional support and leading remote development team experience in a multi-national company
• Demonstrated ability to identify business opportunities, lead complex engagements, attract new business, build team, and build lasting professional relationships with senior executives
• Able to operate effectively in complex program environment and support stakeholder needs when require:

Communication Requirements

Internal (90%)

This position will communicate with departments in Group Office, Business Partners, & local BUs, including IT (Solution and Service COEs), Compliance, Corporate Secretary, Finance, Treasury, Distribution, Actuarial, Investments, HR, and Risk, The position requires communicating effectively with working level people as well as presentations to department heads.

External (10%)

This position will communicate with vendors over product selection and/or delivering solutions

Reporting Structure and Supervisory / Managerial Responsibilities

• Supervise TSS/EAS teams of 10+ members for implementation and support
• Provide oversight, leadership and coaching team members regarding deliverables, project plans and performance management
