About the role

We are seeking an experienced Drafter to join our talented team at Compact Metal Industries Sdn. Bhd. in Sedenak, Johor. As a Drafter, you will play a vital role in the design and development of our innovative metal products, working closely with our engineering and production departments to bring our client's visions to life.

What you'll be doing

  1. Producing detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings using CAD software
  2. Interpreting project specifications and client requirements to create accurate design plans
  3. Collaborating with engineers and production staff to ensure designs are feasible and meet quality standards
  4. Revising and updating drawings based on feedback and design changes
  5. Maintaining comprehensive documentation and records of all design work
  6. Providing support and guidance to junior drafting staff as required

What we're looking for

  1. Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architecture or a related technical discipline
  2. Minimum 3 years' experience as a Drafter in a manufacturing or engineering environment
  3. Proficient in using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Solidworks or similar
  4. Strong attention to detail and the ability to interpret technical specifications
  5. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  6. Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  7. Fluent in Mandrin, English and Bahasa Melayu
