About the role

Huachang Growmax (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a talented Chartered Accountant to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for providing strategic financial guidance and support to our organisation, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The position is based in our Nilai, Negeri Sembilan office.

What you'll be doing

  1. Managing, preparing and analysing financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to support decision-making
  2. Advising on financial planning, tax compliance, and risk management strategies
  3. Implementing and maintaining effective accounting systems and internal controls
  4. Collaborating with departmental managers to provide financial insights and recommendations
  5. Ensuring the company's accounting practices adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
  6. Mentoring and supervising junior members of the finance team
  7. Identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost savings
  8. Any ad-hoc task assigned are required to complete within the deadlines
  9. Job scope change from time to time according to company requirements

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum of ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW, or member of MIA
  2. Qualified Chartered Accountant with at least 8 years of post-qualification experience
  3. Extensive experience in a similar role, preferably within a management accounting or budgeting function
  4. Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes
  5. Proficient in the use of accounting software and data analysis tools
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate financial information for non-financial stakeholders
  7. Proven track record of identifying and implementing process improvements
  8. Collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
