We are looking for a responsible and customer-oriented Cashier to join our prestigious gold and jewelry shop. The ideal candidate will handle transactions efficiently, provide excellent customer service, and assist with basic store operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process cash, credit/debit card, and other digital transactions accurately. Ensure all payments are handled securely and in compliance with company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales, receipts, and daily cash balances.
  • Verify the weight, quality, and pricing of gold and jewelry before processing sales.
  • Assist customers with inquiries regarding pricing, payment plans, and product details.
  • Provide professional and friendly customer service to enhance the shopping experience.
  • Work closely with the sales team to support smooth store operations.
  • Monitor and report any discrepancies in transactions or inventory.
  • Follow all security protocols related to handling high-value items.
  • Keep the cashier area neat, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a cashier, preferably in a gold or jewelry store.
  • Strong mathematical and numerical skills for accurate cash handling.
  • Basic knowledge of gold purity, jewelry pricing, and weight measurements (preferred).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Trustworthy, detail-oriented, and able to work with high-value transactions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle customer inquiries professionally.
  • Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems and basic accounting principles.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in retail or finance is a plus.
  • Able to work in Masjid India Kuala Lumpur.
