We're seeking a passionate and analytical Data Scientist (Assistant Manager level) to join a dynamic organization in the financial technology (fintech) and digital payments industry. This role focuses on credit risk modeling, predictive analytics, and data-driven strategy development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quantitative models and scorecards to assess default risk, repayment behavior, and portfolio performance.
  • Build and monitor credit scoring and financial forecasting models using advanced predictive tools and data science techniques.
  • Conduct model performance tracking, validation, and back-testing to ensure reliability and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to apply model insights to credit decisions, business strategies, and risk appetite frameworks.
  • Use data analysis to identify risk trends, optimize portfolio performance, and uncover business opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, or related quantitative field (Master's preferred).
  • 5–7 years of experience in data analytics, credit risk modeling, or financial data science.
  • Proficiency in R, Python, or SQL for data manipulation and model development.
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Experience in consumer lending, banking, or fintech risk analytics is an advantage.

Location: Kuala Lumpur

Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:30pm

Salary Range: RM7,500 – RM9,500

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: RM7, RM9,500.00 per month
