Manufacturing Engineer

Position Summary:

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will :

Under supervision, performs and carries out various engineering calculations, investigations, and tasks pertaining to the design and development of manufacturing equipment, processes and tooling. Follows a determined and rigid engineering practice and applies sound engineering principles to deliver optimal manufacturing solutions in guidance with quality/global standards. Researches, specifies, evaluates, recommends and implements new automation, equipment and/or processes, sustains existing processes and equipment by identifying and implementing cost reduction opportunities, process and productivity improvements, provides technical

Works on components of an engineering project or operation. May manage small to medium projects in scope from start to finish in accordance with the company's policies. Continues to build working relationships internally along with externally.

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Manufacturing Engineering Assignments

· Performs routine and non-routine mfg. engineering assignments by following defined processes, procedures, and instructions

· Conducts technical investigations. Identifies and prioritizes own work to meet assignment expectations. Develops test plans working with mentor and review results with team.

· Manage Engineering Change system & documentation distribution controller.

· Mastering the Oracle ERP in BOM and cost analysis. Annual Standard cost analysis exercise.

· To study cost analysis for new BOM changes, new business request or changes to the BOM.

· Task include but is not limited to: Capital Equipment ROI Requests, Capabilities Studies, Plant Layouts, Capacity Study, and Standard Work

2. Project Management

· Originates, evaluates, and develops formal project requests. Manages technical mfg. engineering related projects with limited scope or phases of a more complex technical project.

· Prepares reports, graphs, planning layouts, and summaries designed to communicate project progress or results.

· Localization project (To prepare and provide specification, requirement, manufacturing documents, control drawings and testing instruction)

· Improvement projects - Improve Cost, Improve efficiency, Support Operational Performance

· Lead project team member implementing projects that will eliminate waste, through the standard Industrial Engineering process

3. Issue Resolution

· Identifies, investigates, and resolves routine and non-routine issues. Escalates problems and roadblocks as they occur

4. Documentation/Presentation

· Performs mfg. engineering related planning. Analyzes and creates technical documentation. Compiles test records and documentation.

5. Teamwork/Collaboration

· Collaborates with more experienced engineers (mfg.). Coordinates cross-functionally to accomplish assigned tasks and builds working relationships internally and externally.

Requirements

· Degree in Engineering or relevant qualification

· At least 5~7 years of technical experience in specification, design, and installation of injection molding tooling equipment and process improvement in the medical device / pharmaceutical industry

· Manufacturing project leadership with demonstrated ability as a team leader

· Able to manage program risk to meet technical and product readiness to market

· Experience in Oracle ERP product life cycle and Manufacturing Execution system is an added advantage

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM3, RM5,500.00 per month
