  • Terms: Contract 2 years (renewable)

Job responsibilities:

Financial Accounting (FI)

  • Manage and maintain General Ledger (G/L), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Asset Accounting (AA) within SAP FI.
  • Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Support bank accounting, cash management, and integration of financial transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP and internal financial policies.

SAP FICO Configuration & Support

  • Configure and maintain FI submodules (G/L, AP, AR, AA) and assist with CO configuration when needed.
  • Troubleshoot system issues, perform root-cause analysis, and collaborate with technical teams to implement fixes.
  • Assist in system enhancements, testing (unit, integration, UAT), and documentation of functional designs.
  • Support end users through training, process guidance, and documentation.

Controlling (CO) Module Responsibilities

  • Manage and support cost center accounting, internal orders, profit center accounting, and cost allocations.
  • Participate in product costing activities, including cost estimates, cost rolls, and variance analysis.
  • Support CO-FI integration, ensuring accurate data flow between financial and controlling processes.

Material Ledger (ML) Responsibilities

  • Support Material Ledger actual costing, including price determinations, inventory valuation, and month-end processing.
  • Ensure accurate material price updates and analyze ML variances.
  • Troubleshoot ML-related issues and collaborate with manufacturing/operations teams to ensure accurate costing.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Procurement, Manufacturing, Sales, and Supply Chain to ensure integrated financial processes.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives, leveraging SAP best practices.
  • Assist in data migration, master data validation, and system upgrades or S/4HANA projects.

Must have:

  • Tax system knowledge for US and CA
  • Familiar with SAP tax module (at least 5 years' experience for SAP end-to-end project implementations)
  • Familiar with self-developed tax engine
  • Strong business background and communication skills, with the ability to quickly understand processes and communicate effectively in English
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Technical skills: Basic understanding of ABAP debugging and enhancement development (e.g., user exits, BADIs, enhancement points). Capable of conducting enhancement analysis and solution design. Able to debug programs
