General Accounting (GA) Senior Analyst
.

Objective:

The GA Analyst/Senior Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting and accounting processes. This position is responsible for managing complex journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, month-end close activities, and supporting audits and compliance initiatives. The role also involves identifying process improvement opportunities and mentoring junior team members.

Duty/Responsibilities:

  • Lead and perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals, reclassifications, and cost allocations.
  • Prepare and review complex journal entries and ensure proper documentation and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of reconciling items.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing audit schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
  • Analyse financial data and provide commentary on P&L variances and trends.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Operations, Marketing, and Country Finance) to drive alignment and support key operational and financial initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline accounting processes and reduce manual effort.
  • Maintain and update accounting policies and procedures in line with corporate and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least Bachelor Degree in Accounting/Finance or ACCA or any equivalent accounting professional qualification.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in General Ledger or financial reporting.
  • Must have financial GL closing experience.
  • Must be proficient in MS Excel
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g. Navision, D365) will be a huge advantage.
  • Language: English
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in shared services or multinational company environment is a plus
