Job Purpose
To prepare and cook Western cuisine in accordance with approved recipes, food safety standards, and company quality requirements while maintaining hygiene, efficiency, and consistency in daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation & Cooking
- Prepare, cook, and present Western dishes according to standardized recipes and menu specifications.
- Ensure portion control, taste consistency, and presentation standards are met at all times.
- Assist in menu execution, special events, and buffet setup when required.
Food Safety & Hygiene
- Comply strictly with Food Safety, Hygiene, and Halal requirements (where applicable).
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Participate in kitchen cleaning schedules and sanitation procedures.
Kitchen Operations
- Support smooth kitchen operations during service hours.
- Coordinate with other kitchen staff for timely food production.
- Report any equipment defects, shortages, or safety hazards immediately.
Stock & Inventory
- Assist in receiving, checking, and storing kitchen supplies.
- Minimise food wastage through proper handling and storage.
- Record daily usage of ingredients when required.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 1–2 years' experience as a Western Cook or similar role.
- Basic knowledge of Western cuisine (e.g. pasta, grills, sauces, baked items).
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene practices, and kitchen safety.
- Team-oriented with a positive work attitude.
