Key Activities:

  • Database Administration support with main focus PostgreSQL databases on Google cloud or Azure cloud.
  • Database Maintenance, housekeeping, troubleshooting.
  • Incident, problem and change management of database-related incidents and problems, both in collaboration with other technical teams.
  • Installation, configuration and lifecycle migrations/upgrades and patch management
  • SQL (PLSQL) database programming.
  • unix, PHP, python shell scripting.

Qualifications:

  • PostgreSQL database administration role requiring 2-10 years of PostgreSQL management experience.
  • Experience in cloud environments like Google or Azure is essential.
  • Skills include support for Cloud PaaS subscriptions and administration tasks: backup, recovery, monitoring, and performance tuning.
  • Proficiency in problem analysis, debugging, and vendor support is necessary.
  • Knowledge in database installation, patching, high availability solutions, data transfer features, space management, and user management is required.
  • Expertise in database security measures is expected.
  • Advanced skills in Unix shell scripting, PHP or Python programming, and SQL programming are desired.
  • Familiarity with cloud key rotation and network traffic encryption concepts is important.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM15,000.00 per month
