Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Accountant to join our finance & Accounts team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the overall financial health of the company.
Key Responsibilities – To manage a team of Finance & Accounts Team
- Manage the full set of accounts, including preparation of monthly management reports and financial analysis; report directly to the Accountant.
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), and journal entries.
- Monitor cash flow and manage Accounts Payable (AP), including processing of staff claims, petty cash reimbursements, and supplier payments in line with credit terms, statements of account, and company SOPs.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and ensure timely month-end closing.
- Verify purchase orders, delivery orders, and invoices to ensure accurate entries in the accounting system.
- Maintain proper documentation and filing to support all accounting transactions.
- Support audit and tax reporting processes.
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and relevant government authorities as needed.
- Participate in finance process improvements and implementation initiatives (e.g. e-invoicing) to enhance efficiency.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks related to accounting and business operations as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum Professional Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant working experience is required for this position.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Chinese is required
