Responsibilities
Customs & Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure full compliance with Malaysian Customs regulations for LMW and FIZ operations, including accurate documentation (Forms K1/K2).
• Maintain and submit customs declarations, permits, and licenses on time.
• Liaise with customs officers and regulatory bodies to resolve issues.
• Supervise changes in customs regulations and update internal procedures accordingly.

Logistics Operations Management

• Oversee inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely, efficient delivery.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, and Third-Party Warehouse teams.
• Optimize logistics strategies to reduce costs and improve service levels.
• Manage subcontracting logistics, ensuring compliance with GST/SST and customs duties.
• Assist with loading/unloading, sorting, and packaging merchandise and orders.

Documentation & System Management

• Prepare and review shipping documents such as Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, and Material Receivers.
• Enter and verify data in spreadsheets and logistics systems.
• Maintain electronic filing systems for rapid retrieval of administrative and shipping documents.

Analysis & Continuous Improvement

• Collect and analyze data on inventory, demand, supply, costs, and logistics performance.
• Implement and evaluate logistics policies, procedures, and system improvements.
• Identify and resolve issues or risks affecting logistics operations.

Stakeholder Teamwork & Support

• Coordinate with internal teams (procurement, finance, stakeholders and business operations team) to align logistics strategies.
• Liaise with suppliers, customers, and external partners as needed.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior logistics staff.
• Support cross-functional projects as the logistics subject matter expert.

Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.

Minimum 5 years of logistics or trade compliance experience, preferably in manufacturing or industrial settings.

Solid understanding of Malaysian Customs regulations, especially LMW and FIZ documentation and International Tariffs Implementations

Proficiency in GTT and ERP systems (e.g., SAP), and Microsoft Office applications.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Critical thinking, problem-solving, teamwork, attention to detail, and time management.

Certification in Customs or Trade Compliance is a plus.

Familiarity with international shipping, HTS and Incoterms.
