Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Swimming Coach & Program Coordinator to join our team full-time. This role combines coaching responsibilities with program coordination, administration, and marketing support.

You will spend up to 6-10 hours per week delivering engaging swim lessons and team training sessions, and 1-2 hours per week on marketing / admin tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality swim coaching across all levels: Learn-to-Swim, Competitive, and Adult programs
  • Ensure safety, enjoyment, and progression for every swimmer
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver structured lessons following Bluefin's curriculum
  • Support the Swim Team with advanced training, technique, endurance, and race preparation
  • Assist in organizing events such as open days, holiday camps, and competitions
  • Handle customer enquiries, parent communications, and swimmer progress reports
  • Contribute to marketing efforts, including social media content and promotional activities
  • Carry out administrative tasks such as attendance tracking, and reporting
  • Work closely with management to support program growth and community outreach
  • Undertake training and professional development as required
  • Carry out any other duties as reasonably required by the employer
Requirements
  • Malaysian citizen or permanent resident
  • Swim teaching/coaching certification (Swim England, ASCA, AUSTSWIM, or equivalent) OR willingness to obtain
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills (English required; Malay/Chinese an advantage)
  • Experience working with children (ages 4–18 preferred)
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends according to program schedules
  • Proactive, reliable, and team-oriented attitude
Desirable Skills
  • First Aid and CPR certification
  • Digital marketing or social media experience
  • Previous experience in sports, fitness, or education
