Your impact

At Jacobs, our Power Solutions team is geared towards providing a more integrated approach offering end-to-end service to support our clients in energy networks, thermal generation, renewable generation and storage solutions space. We are helping our clients meet the challenges faced in countries and cities across the globe, providing innovative solutions from replacing conventional thermal power plants with renewable energy to developing demand side management strategies.

We are seeking a
Senior Electrical Engineer
with deep expertise in EPC of Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) projects, particularly in design review and detailed design. This role involves delivering high-quality engineering consultancy services, supporting project development, and fostering strong client relationships across Malaysia and APAC regions.

Responsibilities Include

• Lead and contribute to CCGT generation projects, including technical due diligence, concept design, and owner's engineer services.
• Apply best practices and cross-disciplinary knowledge to solve complex engineering problems.
• Deliver clear, concise technical reports and ensure compliance with QA standards.
• Support business development through proposal preparation and client engagement.
• Collaborate within multi-disciplinary and cross-geography teams to meet project goals.
• Promote a strong safety culture and uphold operational excellence.

Here's what you'll need

• Bachelor's or Advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering or related engineering discipline
• Minimum 10 years' experience in CCGT projects (feasibility studies, developing minimum function specification (MFS), Technical Advisor/ Owner's Engineer, design review / detailed design, EPC)
• Strong communication and technical writing skills
• Working knowledge of US codes and standards is a plus
• Proven expertise in power plant electrical systems and equipment design, including technical specifications, sizing calculations, protection and control.
• Demonstrated experience in power plant electrical studies using ETAP, SKM Power Tools or similar simulation software
