Senior Specialist, Product Management (Merchant Partnerships)

Overview

• Acts as a business owner, leading both long-term and short-term strategic initiatives for a commercialized product.

• Oversees product evolution, establishes go-to-market strategies, optimizes products and resources, implements incremental improvements across the product life cycle, conducts ongoing care and maintenance, and manages P&L.

• Researches, analyzes, and summarizes quantitative and qualitative user data.

• Stays informed about competitor activities and technology trends, sharing insights with the team.
• Builds and maintains cross-cultural peer networks.
• Applies basic knowledge of tools used to perform product lifecycle tasks using the Studio Method.
• Develops knowledge of Mastercard products and services.
• Asks meaningful questions to understand and translate requirements into desired functionality.
• Documents day-to-day business problems clearly and concisely.
• Maintains foundational understanding of the local market and payments industry, staying current on emerging developments.
• Proactively builds relationships within the team, contributes ideas during meetings, and cultivates strong partnerships within the assigned area.

• Prepares product launches and monitors performance, adoption, and operational health of feature sets.
• Communicates effectively using oral, written, and non-verbal channels, delivering high-quality work.
• Supports and participates in post-launch reviews, ensuring feedback is incorporated into future iterations.
• Aligns with GTM (go-to-market) plans for the product set.
• Identifies issues that may impact product development, timelines, or quality, and partners with internal teams and customer service to classify and prioritize customer issues.
• Mentors team members.
• Assists with candidate selection and onboarding.
