Depot Manager

About the role

As the Depot Manager for Integrated Container Terminal Sdn Bhd, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company's depot in Gelang Patah, Johor. This full-time role is crucial in ensuring the efficient and effective management of the company's warehousing, logistics, and distribution activities.

What you'll be doing

• Manage the overall operations of the container depot, including inventory control, machinery and transport
• Implement and maintain safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the efficiency of depot operations
• Liaise with customers and stakeholders to address any inquiries or concerns
• Supervise and manage a team of warehouse and logistics personnel
• Identify and implement process improvements to optimise depot operations

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar empty container depot role within the transport, or logistics industry
• Strong understanding of empty container depot process and workflow
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills
• Ability to lead and motivate a team, and foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement
• Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and compliance requirements
• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field
