About your new role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Specialist Backend Software Developer with hands-on expertise in and NestJS to join our engineering team. This role requires a strong technical foundation in modern backend development, excellent communication skills for direct client collaboration, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

As a Senior Specialist, you will deliver high-quality solutions across GrowthOps client projects, taking ownership of technical decisions and continuously improving processes for effectiveness and efficiency.

What we'd love to see from you:

  • Design and develop scalable backend services and APIs using and NestJS
  • Containerize applications using Docker and manage deployment workflows
  • Engage directly with clients to gather requirements, present solutions, and conduct whiteboarding sessions
  • Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical decisions
  • Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues
  • Implement cloud infrastructure on AWS and/or Azure with guidance
  • Experience building and maintaining enterprise-grade applications with high availability and security requirements
  • Strong experience with and NestJS for backend development
  • Hands-on experience containerizing applications with Docker
  • Good understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and design patterns
  • Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Comfortable presenting to clients and whiteboarding technical solutions
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Willingness to explore and learn new languages including Java and .NET
  • Adaptable and eager to work with emerging technologies
  • Experience managing cloud infrastructure on AWS and/or Azure, including monitoring and logging tools, is advantageous

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A bachelor's degree or higher (preferably in computer sciences, system engineering or similar field)
  • 6+ years of professional backend development experience preferred
  • Hands-on experience developing scalable backend services and APIs using and NestJS.
  • Candidates who are able to start work immediately will have an added advantage.
