Arkitek XY Sdn. Bhd., an established architectural firm based in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Draughtsman to join our professional team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in producing accurate and high-quality technical drawings, supporting project coordination, and assisting architects throughout all project stages. Key Responsibilities:

– Technical Drafting:

Produce precise architectural drawings, plans, sections, elevations, and details using industry-standard drafting software, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements.

– Design & Documentation Support:

Work closely with architects to translate design concepts into detailed construction drawings and documentation.

– Coordination of Drawings:

Ensure drawings are well-coordinated with consultants (C&S, M&E, etc.) and resolve discrepancies to maintain consistency across all project documentation.

– Site & Measurement Work:

Conduct site measurements, prepare as-built drawings, and support the team in verifying construction progress and compliance with drawings.

– Documentation Management:

Maintain organized drawing records, revisions, and file structures for efficient project workflow.

Requirements:

-Bachelor's degree in Architecture (Part 2 LAM recognized) or equivalent qualification will be advantageous. 

-2 years of experience in an architectural firm or construction site (preferred).

-Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and rendering software like Lumion or V-Ray; knowledge of Revit is an advantage.

-Strong understanding of architectural detailing, working drawings, and local construction practices.

-Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and sustainable design principles.

-Excellent design sensibility, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving skills.

-Effective time management and communication skills.

-Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
