Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role based in Bukit Raja for a Quantity Surveying (QS) Executive with a focus on post-contract functions. The QS Executive will prepare, manage, and monitor detailed cost estimates, track project expenditures, and evaluate subcontractor claims. Other responsibilities include verifying contractor progress claims, ensuring compliance with contractual terms, and preparing final project accounts. The role also involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project timelines and budgets are adhered to.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and track project budgeting and expenditure.
  • Prepare project costing, BQ, and final accounts for clients and subcontractors.
  • Manage procurement: raise MR (Material Requisition), PO (Purchase Order), LOA (Letter of Award), negotiate with vendors, and maintain the vendor database.
  • Prepare pre- and post-price comparisons for approval.
  • Coordinate monthly claims and payment verification with clients and subcontractors.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual terms, and regulations.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge and experience in contract administration, cost estimation, and project cost control.
  • Proficiency in quantity surveying, including preparing and evaluating Bills of Quantities and tender documentation.
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail for evaluation of claims, invoices, and variations.
  • Effective communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills for engaging with contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Educational qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field; professional certifications are advantageous.
  • Prior experience in solar photovoltaic or engineering project management is an added benefit.
