Khazanah Research Institute (KRI) carries out research on the pressing issues of the nation. We then recommend policies to improve the well-being of Malaysians based on that research.

We do all this through:

  • rigorous impartial analysis founded on data;
  • convening discussions, amongst those who are relevant, to illuminate understanding of the issues;
  • being advocates of the knowledge we acquire.

INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION

The Khazanah Research Institute is recruiting interns to support its research team in carrying out rigorous research to provide actionable policy recommendations to address the most pressing issues facing Malaysia.

Interns will work closely with staff members at the Institute on a broad variety of assignments ranging from compiling, processing, and analysing statistical data, assisting in the production of research reports, administrative duties, and assisting with research-related events.

REQUIREMENTS

Applicants should:

  • Students in their second or final year pursuing degrees in food, nutrition or health-related fields.
  • Possess strong academic results, minimum CGPA of 3.0.
  • Able to demonstrate strength in quantitative research, with interest in sharpening their existing research competencies as well as learning other methodologies.
  • Possess an interest in policy research and the multi-faceted causes and potential solutions to the issues tackled in this field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Available for a minimum of three months.
