Job Description
:

The SAP BASIS Consultant is responsible for the administration, configuration, and maintenance of the SAP systems infrastructure. This role ensures that the SAP environment runs smoothly and is optimized for performance and security. The consultant works closely with other IT teams, business analysts, and SAP functional teams to support, troubleshoot, and enhance the SAP landscape.

Key Responsibilities
:

1. SAP System Installation and Configuration
   :

2. Install, configure, and maintain SAP systems (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, etc.).

3. Install and upgrade SAP components (e.g., SAP Netweaver, SAP Fiori, SAP Solution Manager).

4. Ensure proper installation of database systems (e.g., Oracle, HANA, MS SQL Server) for SAP.

5. System Monitoring and Performance Tuning
   :

6. Monitor system performance and perform proactive measures to avoid downtimes or performance bottlenecks.

7. Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues (e.g., system crashes, performance degradation).

8. Tune SAP parameters for better system performance.

9. User and Security Management
   :

10. Manage user access and roles in SAP systems, ensuring compliance with internal security policies.

11. Implement and maintain security protocols for SAP environments, including user roles, authorizations, and profile parameters.

12. Perform security patches and apply necessary updates.

13. SAP Transport Management
    :

14. Coordinate and manage SAP transport system for moving configuration changes across different SAP environments (Development, Quality, Production).

15. Troubleshoot and resolve transport-related issues.

16. System Upgrades and Patches
    :

17. Manage SAP system upgrades, applying patches, service packs, and enhancements.

18. Implement changes and perform testing before and after system upgrades.

19. Backup and Disaster Recovery
    :

20. Implement and maintain backup strategies to ensure data integrity and recovery during system failures.

21. Perform regular backups and test disaster recovery procedures.

22. System Integrations
    :

23. Work on integrating SAP with other third-party systems and modules (e.g., non-SAP systems, cloud-based applications).

24. Support integration solutions using SAP PI/PO, SAP Cloud Platform, or other middleware solutions.

25. Documentation
    :

26. Maintain and update SAP system documentation, including installation guides, troubleshooting guides, and configuration manuals.

27. Document system configurations, system landscapes, and changes for audit and compliance purposes.

28. Support and Troubleshooting
    :

29. Provide on-call support for critical SAP issues and escalate to relevant teams when necessary.

30. Troubleshoot issues in SAP environments, such as system crashes, connectivity issues, or performance problems.

31. Collaboration
    :

32. Work closely with SAP functional consultants, project teams, and business stakeholders to align SAP systems with business requirements.

33. Collaborate with external vendors and third-party consultants as required.

Skills and Qualifications
:

Technical Skills
:

• Strong knowledge of
  SAP BASIS
  (system administration, installation, configuration).
• Hands-on experience with
  SAP Netweaver

• Experience with
  databases
  (Oracle, MS SQL Server, SAP HANA).
• Understanding of
  SAP Security
  (user roles, profiles, authorizations).
• Knowledge of

  SAP Solution Manager

• Proficiency in
  ABAP

  Unix/Linux

  in SAP BASIS for 7+ Years.
• Experience in handling
  SAP migrations

  upgrades

• Familiarity with SAP best practices and industry standards.

Education
:

• Bachelor's degree in
  Computer Science

  Engineering
  , or related fields.
