RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

1.1 Lead and oversee the end-to-end material management process, ensuring compliance with Just-In-Time (JIT) and Kanban principles.

1.2 Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory levels while ensuring material availability to support uninterrupted production.

1.3 Plan, execute, and review monthly and annual stock take activities to ensure high inventory accuracy.

1.4 Supervise and develop the MMD (Material Management Department) team, including daily task management and performance monitoring.

1.5 Design, improve, and manage the entire material flow process from warehouse to production line, ensuring efficiency and traceability.

1.6 Collaborate closely with Production, Procurement, and Planning teams to prevent production downtime caused by material shortages.

1.7 Oversee all logistics functions, including inbound and outbound shipments, freight management, and supplier coordination.

1.8 Ensure on-time delivery of parts and finished goods to customers in alignment with delivery schedules or call-in requirements.

1.9 Establish, review, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), and other process documentation to ensure operational excellence.

1.10 Lead continuous improvement initiatives related to material flow, cost reduction, warehouse layout, and system efficiency.

2.0 SKILL REQUIREMENTS

2.1 Proven experience in material management, inventory control, and logistics at a supervisory or managerial level.

2.2 In-depth knowledge of supply chain principles, especially in JIT, Kanban, and Lean Manufacturing.

2.3 Strong command of ERP systems (e.g., AutoCount or equivalent) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

2.4 Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams effectively across cross-functional departments.

2.5 Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

2.6 Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

2.7 Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English, both written and verbal.

3.0 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

3.1 Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.

3.2 Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.

3.3 Professional certification in Logistics, Inventory Management, or Supply Chain (e.g., APICS, CPIM) is an added advantage.
