IT Hardware

We are looking for a responsible and technically skilled IT Hardware & Network Technician to support, maintain and enhance our IT infrastructure. The successful candidate will be involved in network installation, security implementation, troubleshooting, documentation and technical support across various systems and platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide troubleshooting and problem resolution for network security systems, including firewalls, anti-spam and anti-virus systems
• Apply software patches for Windows OS and Linux to address bugs and security vulnerabilities
• Install, configure, test, troubleshoot and monitor network equipment, including LAN, WAN, WiFi and radiowave systems
• Implement and maintain network security solutions in accordance with company policies and guidelines
• Perform remote troubleshooting using existing telecommunication tools and recommend appropriate technical solutions
• Verify network recovery plans and ensure network components are tested according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
• Prepare accurate technical documentation, incident reports and knowledge base articles for future reference
• Study site layout plans, prepare network equipment and support network installation activities
• Provide consultation and implementation services for CCTV systems, office automation and email solutions
• Provide consultation and implementation services for data capture and data collection devices
• Create, review and update SOPs for the ITS Technical Unit
• Carry out any other duties assigned by management from time to time

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering (Computer) or related discipline
• Knowledge and hands-on experience in networking, network security and hardware troubleshooting
• Familiar with firewall systems, antivirus solutions and network monitoring tools
• Proficient in Windows OS and Linux environments
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and documentation skills
• Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Able to work independently, under minimal supervision and as part of a team
