UOB Innovation Hub 2 (InnoHub 2) is a newly set up technology centre located in Kuala Lumpur as part of UOB Group Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation.

Job Objectives

  • Lead and manage the Technology Obsolescence Program under the Operational Risk Self-Assessment (ORSA) framework.
  • Ensure proactive identification, assessment, and mitigation of technology risks related to obsolescence.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct the annual ORSA exercise and facilitate the monthly Technology Obsolescence Project Steering Committee meetings.
  • Manage the Technology Obsolescence team, ensuring delivery of the lifecycle in alignment with organizational standards and timelines.
  • Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with IT vendors to support program objectives.
  • Monitor and report on obsolescence risks, mitigation plans, and progress to senior stakeholders.
  • Secure and manage budgets for obsolescence initiatives by engaging with relevant stakeholders and ensuring optimal resource allocation.

Job Requirements

  • Prior experience in Technology Obsolescence management.
  • Knowledge of OS Platforms, Storage, Network, Middleware, etc.
  • Familiarity with reporting tools such as Microsoft Power BI.
  • Experience in Application or Infrastructure support.
  • Strong vendor management capabilities.
  • Bachelor's degree of Computer Science or Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of IT experience in the banking industry.
  • Strong understanding of hardware and software technologies.
  • Proven team management experience and ability to motivate and lead effectively.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Effective collaboration skills to drive desired outcomes.
