About the role

Cititel Express Kota Kinabalu is looking for an experienced Assistant Security Manager to join our team. As a full-time role based in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, you will play a key part in ensuring the safety and security of our hotel and its guests.

What you'll be doing

  1. Implementing and overseeing security policies, procedures, and protocols to maintain a safe environment for guests and staff
  2. Coordinating and supervising the security team, including scheduling, training, and performance management
  3. Conducting regular patrols and inspections to identify and address potential security risks
  4. Responding to incidents and emergencies, and liaising with local authorities as needed
  5. Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to security activities
  6. Providing security-related support for hotel events and activities
  7. Assist in the development and implementation of safety policies, procedures and training programmes

What we're looking for

  1. 2-3 years of experience in a security management role, preferably in the hospitality industry
  2. Strong knowledge of security practices, procedures, and relevant laws and regulations
  3. Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and manage a team
  4. Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
  5. Proficient in using security-related equipment and technologies
