Job Title: Data Scientist

Experience Level: 7–12 Years

Educational & Professional Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or related fields.
  • Professional Accreditation: Chartered Banker (added advantage).
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in analytical/statistical modeling roles (banking/insurance preferred).
  • At least 3 years of experience in a banking environment within a reputable financial institution.
  • Proven track record in deploying Machine Learning models and Generative AI solutions.

Role Purpose

Serve as a subject matter expert in advanced analytics—Machine Learning (ML), NLP, Generative AI, Network Analytics—to translate data into actionable insights that strengthen the Risk & Control function across the bank.

Key Skills & Technical Expertise

  • SAS Programming – minimum 5 years.
  • Strong proficiency in Python.
  • Experience with Generative AI / BI, LLMs, RAG, NLP, Machine Learning, Network Link Analytics.
  • Knowledge of big data tools such as SAS, Oracle BDA.
  • Hands-on experience with large datasets, data mining techniques, segmentation, and data modeling.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.).
  • Ability to present analytical insights clearly to business stakeholders.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM9, RM10,000.00 per month
