Job Description:

  • Implement and monitor site-specific Traffic Management Plans (TMPs).
  • Direct and control vehicle and pedestrian traffic at construction access points.
  • Install, maintain, and remove traffic control signs, barricades, cones, and barriers as required.
  • Ensure the safety of all road users, construction workers, and the public around work zones.
  • Monitor traffic conditions and adjust control measures as needed to prevent congestion or hazards.
  • Coordinate with delivery drivers, subcontractors, and logistics personnel for site access.
  • Report any incidents, near-misses, or unsafe traffic conditions to site management.
  • Conduct routine inspections of traffic signage, barriers, and control systems.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, including via two-way radio or hand signals.
  • Assist in emergency response situations and ensure emergency vehicle access at all times.
  • Support compliance with local traffic regulations, site safety procedures, and environmental considerations.

Job Requirements:

  • SPM, diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid Traffic Control Certification (e.g., flagger or stop/slow license) as required by local regulations.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in traffic control or site logistics, preferably in construction.
  • Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and road safety regulations.
  • Ability to read and understand Traffic Management Plans and site layouts.
  • Strong situational awareness and attention to detail.
  • Ability to remain alert and focused in high-traffic environments.
  • Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods and work in all weather conditions.
  • Outdoor work on active construction sites and adjacent public roadways.
