JOB REQUIREMENT

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Actuarial Science, or any other equivalent qualification.
  • Degree or Diploma in Agricultural Science or Plantation Management is an added advantage.
  • Experience in internal or external auditing, or exposure to estate management or mill operations, is highly advantageous.
  • Proficiency in audit or data-analytics software, risk management or business continuity management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities and excellent report-writing skills.
  • High level of integrity, independence, and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel to estates, mills, and operational units as required.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Perform risk-based covering financial, operational, and plantation-related processes, in accordance with the approved Internal Audit Plan.
  • Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, identify controls gaps, evaluate risks and recommend remedial actions to improve the controls and mitigate the risks.
  • Perform compliance reviews to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, industry standards and internal policies and procedures.
  • Prepare clear, comprehensive, and evidence-based internal audit reports highlighting audit issues, potential risks, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Engage with auditees, external auditors, and relevant authorities/regulators to address audit-related queries when required.
  • Monitor and follow up on the implementation status of agreed remedial actions to ensure timely closure of audit findings.
  • Perform related work and any other ad-hoc duties as directed by the superior and/ or management.
