About the role

We expect the engineers we employ to have the following qualifications, capabilities and able to take on the following responsibilities:

  1. Qualifications

  2. Must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in:

  3. Computer Science/Information Technology,

  4. Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication),
  5. Science & Technology or equivalent.
  6. 3 to 5 years or more of experience working in a software development environment.
  7. Familiar with (or want to practice) AI-augmented/assisted software development

  8. Familiar with (or want to learn) the following technologies and frameworks:

  9. AI: Large Language Model and Natural Language Processing

  10. Cloud: AWS, Azure and GCP
  11. Containerisation: Docker and Kubernetes
  12. NodeJS/Angular/Python/PHP
  13. Databases and search engines (RDBMS, NoSQL and Vector, Elastic Search and Solr)
  14. Linux (and Windows) Server operating systems

  15. Participated in the implementation of enterprise information system(s):

  16. Design principles and characteristics of large-scale applications

  17. Implementation of search / database at scale

  18. Capabilities and Responsibilities

  19. Eager learner: learn and apply new technologies.

  20. Understand, appreciate and able to develop clarity of thought and focus.
  21. Take responsibility for estimating, monitoring and communicating the progress of assigned tasks
  22. Liaise and communicate with international staff in both written and spoken English on project works on a daily basis.
  23. Design, analyse and develop solutions within a product framework development lifecycle, and following software patterns (and best practice).
  24. Maintains up to date documentation and software specifications
  25. Takes responsibility for the quality assurance of implemented components, including reading, writing and executing test plans
  26. Comfortably use source repositories: Git eg GitHub or GitLab
