About the role
Join our team as an IT Engineer at Comintel Sdn Bhd, where you'll play a critical role in project implementation, technical support, and the preparation of technical tenders and proposals.
What you'll be doing
- Participate in the tendering process by designing and preparing technical tenders and proposals that showcase the company's capabilities
- Support project implementation, including post-sales activities and 24/7 on-call standby support
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure project requirements and deadlines are met
- Ensure timely delivery of assigned projects within scope and budget
- Maintain high service availability and performance by providing clear direction for implementation and support tasks
- Report project progress accurately and promptly to the immediate supervisor
- Administer and maintain IT systems, networks, and infrastructure for optimal performance, reliability, and security
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for users, addressing any IT-related issues or queries
- Contribute to the development and implementation of IT policies, procedures, and security measures
- Collaborate with internal teams to align IT solutions with company goals
- Research and recommend new technologies to enhance efficiency and system performance
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and network systems
- Perform regular maintenance, updates, and system backups to ensure infrastructure integrity
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
- Proficient knowledge in configuring and troubleshooting IT systems, networks, and infrastructure, including hardware, software, and security
- Experience in preparing technical documents, proposals, and tenders submissions
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive mindset
- Good written and verbal communication skills to liaise effectively with various departments, vendors and suppliers
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and best practices in IT management
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask effectively
- Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills to ensure tender submissions are error-free and able to handle multiple tight deadlines
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new tools, technologies and methodologies
- A team player with a proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving
