About the role

CORETECH GMC SDN BHD' is seeking an experienced Senior QA Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. Based in the Kulim Hi-Tech Park in Kedah, this critical role will be responsible for overseeing all quality assurance and control activities for our high-purity gas manufacturing.

What you'll be doing

  1. Assist the QA Manager with all activities within the QA Department, including data analysis and results.
  2. Maintain, audit, and continuously improve the Quality Management System in compliance with ISO 9001 and another relevant standard.
  3. Author, review, and approve standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and quality records.
  4. Manage the document control system to ensure all quality documents are current and properly distributed.
  5. Develop and validate quality control plans and test methods.
  6. Oversee the investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective/ preventive actions (CAPA) for non-conforming products, customer complaints, and internal deviations.
  7. Utilize statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis to monitor process stability, capability, and product quality trends.
  8. Approve the release of finished products, ensuring they meet all specified analytical and quality criteria.
  9. Oversee the equipment calibration and maintenance program, ensuring all critical instruments are calibrated.
  10. Review and approve analytical data and certificates of analysis (COA).
  11. Mentor and provide technical expertise to QA/QC engineer and technicians and other plant personnel on quality principles, procedures, and standards.
  12. Lead or participate in cross-functional teams for process improvement, new product introduction, and risk assessment.

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior quality assurance or engineering role, preferably in a chemical manufacturing or semiconductor environment
  2. Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or a related technical discipline
  3. In-depth knowledge of quality control methodologies, tools and techniques
  4. Have good knowledge in ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
  5. Preferably experience in analysis equipment specifically on gas analysis and its impurities
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and identify root causes
  7. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to upholding high standards of quality
  8. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels
  9. Language requirement: English proficiency required; Korean language skills preferred
