Position Overview:
The Events Executive works closely with the department manager/GM and assists in leading the team and overseeing the requests and files from incentive houses, travel agency and corporate customers worldwide when organising MICE arrangements for their staff or clients.
The Events department handles every aspect of the file including sales and reservations and ensuring that it is successfully operated.
The Events Executive is a very important person within our organisation as they are a key contact person for our worldwide partners and help to ensure that all of our services are delivered as promised and agreed.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and quote MICE programs for global clients (incentive houses, travel agencies, and corporate customers).
- Support the Events Manager in departmental management, deputizing when necessary.
- Ensure flawless execution of all inspection trips and incentive tours, aiming for 100% client satisfaction.
- Act as the primary contact for clients and sales offices, providing advice and correspondence on incentive activities.
- Coordinate and manage on-site events, including client liaison, setup, quality control, and working with operations and field staff.
- Negotiate favorable terms with suppliers to maximize competitiveness and profitability.
- Collaborate with the Product team on all MICE promotion and product updates.
- Contribute to the creation and development of new incentive travel products and experiences.
- Maintain and update product and booking in our in-house system (Tourplan) for efficiency and accuracy.
- Uphold the company's Responsible Travel policies (including Wildlife Code, ChildSafe, and Ethical Code) and advise clients on responsible travel options.
- Collaborate with other departments on MICE arrangements internally
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Tourism, Hospitality, or other related.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position and having good understanding of the MICE industry.
- Fluent in spoken and written English (French as a second language would be an advantage) with an ability to compose compelling proposals with accurate use of the English language.
- Profound understanding of western culture and client expectations along with destination knowledge.

- Hands-on experience with the ability to work as part of a team
- Excellent sales, communication and negotiation skills
- High degree of customer service and satisfaction with an eye on details and presentation
- Strong organizational skills, ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks
- Ability to work as an effective team leader with excellent interpersonal skills
