We are seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Junior Agronomist to join our team. The ideal candidate is not only experienced in pineapple and durian plantation but also possesses excellent people management skills. As an Junior Agronomist at Ananas Premium, you will play a crucial role in overseeing our pineapple and durian orchard operations, optimizing yield and managing a dedicated team of workers.
Key Responsibilities to assist Agronomist :
* Plantation Management: To assist Agronomist to oversee all aspects of plantation management, including planting, maintenance, pest control and harvest.
* People Management: To help Agronomist manage a team of workers, ensuring tasks are completed effectively and aligned with company objectives.
* Continuous Improvement: Maintain a strong focus on self-improvement and stay updated with the latest agronomy practices, management techniques and technologies to enhance orchard productivity.
* Collaboration and Learning: Foster a culture of idea sharing, open communication and receptiveness to feedback. Collaborate with colleagues and management to drive innovation and efficiency.
* Company-Centric Approach: Keep the best interests of the company in mind when making decisions, planning strategies and implementing improvements in orchard management.
* Integrity and Hard Work: Demonstrate unwavering honesty, integrity and a strong work ethic. Take initiative and work diligently with minimal supervision.
* Equipment Care: Thorough knowledge of farm equipment and materials and ability to manage the use of materials and equipment efficiently and economically.
* Record and Report: To assist Agronomist keep detailed records regarding workers' schedules, plantation operations, fruits tree conditions and report findings regularly.
Requirements:
* at least Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Agriculture or a related field.
* Required at least 1-2 years of working experience and proven experience in plantation management
* Strong people management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
* Continuous learner with a commitment to ongoing self-improvement. Accept feedback and criticism.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
* Demonstrated integrity and a strong work ethic.
* Fluency in Malay & English language.
* Valid driver's license and the ability to drive.
* Shortlisted candidates will be required to live near the estate, Linggiu, Kota Tinggi area.
