SOC Internship

We are looking for a motivated and curious SOC Analyst Intern to join our cybersecurity team. As an intern, you will assist in monitoring security events, supporting incident response activities, and learning how real-world security operations are performed. This internship is a great opportunity for students who want hands-on experience in cybersecurity and exposure to enterprise-level security tools and environments.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts (malware, phishing, firewalls, network security).
• Familiarity with SIEM tools is an advantage, but training will be provided.
• Strong willingness to learn and grow in the cybersecurity field.
• Good analytical thinking and communication skills.
• Able to work in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment.
• Willing to support shift work if required (depending on project).

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in monitoring security alerts through SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
• Support the team in performing initial analysis on potential security threats.
• Follow established SOPs and guidelines to escalate alerts.
• Work alongside senior SOC analysts to investigate incidents.
• Assist with daily, weekly, or ad-hoc SOC reports.
• Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions, training, and team meetings.
• Contribute to documentation updates, playbooks, and process improvements.

Job Types: Internship, Fresh graduate

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: From RM800.00 per month
