Cybersecurity Ops and Compliance Consultant role in MNC

Your new company

You will be joining a well-established multinational corporation based in Penang, with its headquarters located in the European Union. They have 1 headcount for a Cybersecurity Ops and Compliance Consultant in Penang.

Your new role

1) Cybersecurity Ops

  • Monitor security alerts and events across SIEM tools and end point protection platforms
  • Investigate and analyse suspicious activities, abnormalities and potential threats.
  • Triage and investigate security incidents and identify the root cause
  • Respond promptly to security incidents
  • Conduct proactive threat hunting to identify vulnerabilities
  • Work closely with vendors on VAPT

What you'll need to succeed

  • Minimum of 7 years in Cybersecurity Ops-related role
  • Experience with security tools, such as EDR, vulnerability scanning, SOAR, mail security, SIEM platforms, vulnerability scanners, and penetration testing frameworks.
  • Knowledgeable of ISO27K1, NIST, CIS Controls etc.

2) Cybersecurity Compliance

  • Experienced in setting up, implementing and performing a risk assessment focusing on ISO27K1
  • Develop, maintain and monitor the IT Security policies, standards and procedures.
  • Interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into actionable security controls.
  • Conduct regular security risk assessments to identify compliance gaps
  • Perform cybersecurity awareness training

What you'll need to succeed

  • Minimum of 4 years in an Information Security Compliance related role
  • Able to read, write and speak in Mandarin and English
  • Experience in ISO27K1 and NIST
