Mechanical / Electrical Technician

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least Diploma / Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or suitable equivalent.
• Required Language(s): Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• 1-2 year(s) of working experience in the related field.
• Computer Literate.
• Able to multitask and to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Able to work in fast paced environment and a team player.

Responsibility

Technician - Mechanical

1. Preventive & Predictive Maintenance

• Conduct routine maintenance of stamping presses, bending machines, welding stations, roll forming units, and painting line conveyors to minimize downtime.

2. Machine Troubleshooting & Repair

• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults such as hydraulic leaks, alignment issues, gear wear, or conveyor failures in real time to support uninterrupted production.

3. Mechanical Setup & Adjustments

• Assist in machine setup for new production runs, including tooling changes, alignment, and calibration, ensuring machines meet product specifications.

4. Installation & Commissioning

• Support installation, testing, and commissioning of new production equipment and upgrades.

5. Spare Parts Handling

• Maintain and request critical mechanical spare parts for key equipment to reduce repair lead time.

6. Welding & Fabrication Support

• Perform basic mechanical fabrication, welding repairs, or reinforcement on worn machine parts or safety guards.

7. Painting Line Conveyor Maintenance

• Ensure smooth operation of conveyor chains, rollers, tensioners, and lubrication systems in painting lines.

8. Documentation & Reporting

• Record maintenance activities, machine history, and downtime in maintenance logs or digital tracking systems.

9. Safety & Compliance

• Follow and enforce LOTO procedures, machine guarding practices, and comply with safety standards during all maintenance work.

10. Continuous Improvement Support

• Work closely with production and engineering teams to implement machine reliability improvements and participate in root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues.

Technician - Electrical

1. Electrical Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Diagnose and repair electrical faults on stamping presses, bending machines, welding units, roll forming machines, and conveyor systems.

2. Preventive Electrical Maintenance (PEM)

• Perform scheduled inspections and servicing of control panels, sensors, relays, wiring, and electrical distribution boards to prevent unplanned downtime.

3. Machine Control Systems

• Support the maintenance and calibration of PLCs, HMIs, timers, limit switches, and proximity/photoelectric sensors on automated machinery.

4. Power Supply & Distribution

• Monitor and maintain stable electrical power distribution, ensuring safe load balancing and identifying potential overload risks.

5. Wiring & Panel Work

• Carry out wiring modifications, panel installations, and repairs as per schematics and safety standards.

6. Lighting & Utilities

• Maintain and repair facility lighting, emergency systems, and basic electrical utilities across production areas.

7. Electrical Safety & Compliance

• Ensure all work adheres to electrical codes, safety standards, and lockout/tag out (LOTO) procedures.

8. Support for New Equipment

• Assist in the installation, electrical setup, and commissioning of new machines and production lines.

9. Documentation & Reporting

• Record fault logs, maintenance activities, and update electrical diagrams/drawings where required.

10. Continuous Improvement

• Provide technical input for energy efficiency, process improvement, and machine reliability initiatives.

Compliance to standards operating procedure (SOP), statutory and legal requirements

• Working toward maintaining ISO's certification and meet the standard and requirement from internal and external party.
• To ensure all equipment process follow SOP and comply with the statutory and legal requirements
• To ensure housekeeping are maintained at all times

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

• Follow safety standard procedures.
• To aware to wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while carry out in line with relevant procedures.
