Key Responsibilities:
Teaching and Curriculum Development:
- Develop and deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in Pharmacy Practice, Clinical Pharmacy, and Pharmaceutical Technology.
- Design and update curriculum materials in line with Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) standards and industry best practices.
Student Mentorship and Support:
- Guide and mentor students in academic and research activities, providing support to enhance their learning experience.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research projects, particularly in areas related to clinical and pharmaceutical practice.
Research and Scholarly Activity:
- Engage in research activities relevant to Pharmacy Practice, Clinical Pharmacy, and Pharmaceutical Technology, aiming for publications in peer-reviewed journals.
- Participate in grant applications and collaborative research projects that contribute to the university's research profile.
Industry Collaboration and Professional Development:
- Foster connections with hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, and other stakeholders to enrich academic content and support student placements.
- Stay current with advancements in the pharmacy field and incorporate them into teaching practices.
Academic Administration:
- Contribute to departmental meetings, curriculum review panels, and accreditation processes to uphold academic quality.
- Participate in student assessment, grading, and feedback to support continuous improvement in academic standards.
Qualifications:
- A PhD or Master's degree in Pharmacy or a closely related field, with specialization in Pharmacy Practice, Clinical Pharmacy, or Pharmaceutical Technology preferred.
- Must be a licensed pharmacist, registered with the Malaysian Pharmacy Board or an equivalent body recognized by the university.
- At least 2-3 years of teaching experience in a university setting is preferred, with a proven record of research and publications in relevant areas.
- Practical experience in a clinical or pharmaceutical technology role is advantageous.
- Strong command of pharmacology, pharmacy law, ethics, and relevant technologies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage students effectively.
- Competence in curriculum development and innovative teaching methods.
- Committed to academic excellence and professional development.
- A collaborative team player with a passion for mentoring and inspiring students.
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: RM5, RM6,000.00 per month
