Dental Surgery Assistant

Concept: Assist dentists in providing comprehensive dental care and ensuring smooth clinic operations.
Job Description:
- Assist in dental procedures and treatment as assigned and work closely with the dentist in a professional manner, aiding during all dental procedures.
- To prepare and manage the assigned dental room for treatment or procedure.
- Prepares patients for dental treatment by following procedures and protocols.
- Ensure adequate stocks in assigned room for treatment and procedures.
- Assist in central sterilization room as required or assigned by manager.
- Assist in checking inventory, maintaining record and check on expiry dates of materials in assigned rooms.
- Ensure all charges are correctly uploaded into the system after completion of procedure.
- Ensure proper infection control and safety measures are always maintained.
- Assist in the supervision and assisting the students.
- To perform any other duties as instructed by Manager and Clinician.
Requirement:
- Minimum Qualification: Possess Certificate in Dental Surgery Assistant or SPM with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a dental clinic or hospital setting.
Skills & Competencies:
- Skilled in assisting dentists during dental treatments and procedures.
- Basic computer skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Possess good communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- High level of professionalism and ethical conduct.
Availability:
- Able to work on Saturdays and do shift work (8:30 AM – 5:30 PM & 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM).
