Your impact

We're seeking to appoint a Senior Electrical Engineer to spearhead the design and development of large-scale transmission-connected simple cycle and combined cycle power plants in support of our expanding power generation portfolio. This position offers exceptional opportunity to collaborate with multi design teams based in the United States contributing to the preparation of comprehensive design deliverables and providing technical leadership during construction phase.

The successful candidate will play a key role in driving technical excellence, collaborating with global teams and delivering high quality engineering solutions that advance sustainable energy goals.

In addition you will;

• Lead the electrical design of large-scale, transmission-connected simple cycle or combined cycle power generation projects
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, both locally and in the United States to develop comprehensive and detailed design documentation and project deliverables
• Provide technical and engineering support throughout the construction phase ensuring design integrity and compliance with project standards
• Contribute to the development of integrated energy solutions that encompass thermal, renewable energy, and energy storage systems.
• Partner with clients to support their transition toward renewable energy and implementing demand-side management strategies.
• Help drive the delivery of innovative, sustainable solutions that address evolving global energy challenges.

Here's what you'll need

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering or related engineering discipline
• Master's Degree in Electrical will be considered an added advantage
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification is desirable
• Must be registered with the Board of Engineers in Malaysia (BEM) is required
• Minimum 15 relevant years' experience in electrical engineering design preferably in simple cycle and/or combined cycle gas turbine generation projects
• Proven expertise in power plant electrical systems and equipment design, including technical specifications, sizing calculations, protection and control.
• Demonstrated experience in power plant electrical studies using ETAP, SKM Power Tools or similar simulation software
• Strong technical writing, communication and coordination skills
• Working knowledge of US electrical design codes and standards will be considered a strong asset
