Responsibilities:

  • Prepare cashflow projections, financial analysis, and presentations to secure necessary funding from banks and financial institutions.
  • Monitor cash and liquidity management through cash flow planning and forecasting.
  • Act a focal person to deal with the bankers regarding the banking facilities, financing and others.
  • Oversee short-term and long-term investment strategies to maximize returns on surplus funds.
  • Managing relationships with banks and other stakeholders on financing requirements.
  • Assist in all matters relating to corporate finance, treasury and strategic performance management.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information for loan applications and funding proposals.
  • Analyze variances between forecasted vs. actual cash flows and recommend improvements.
  • Provide data-driven insights to senior management for strategic decision-making.
  • Part of the budget team to consolidate and prepare annual budget for the company by ensuring proper budget process is adhered to (as per the required standards by the stakeholders) and submit timely for the approval by the Board.
  • Participate actively in pre and post company's projects to guide and support on banking or funding requirement so that company's interest is always protected.
  • Support the Lead, Finance (Financial Reporting & AP) in matters pertaining to Year End Financial Audit especially on corporate finance related matters.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices in treasury and cash management.
  • Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets, prevent fraud, and maintain the integrity of financial data and transactions.
  • Attend timely to any relevant ad-hoc assignments as assigned by the superior which are beyond normal routine functions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or other relevant Academic Qualification (e.g. as ACCA, CIMA, CPA). Treasury-related certifications (e.g. ACT, CTP) are a plus.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in finance, treasury, or cash management roles, preferably in the Oil & Gas, energy, or large-scale infrastructure industries.
  • Proven experience in dealing with banks, managing trade facilities, monitoring financial covenants, and handling loan documentation.
  • Hands-on experience in preparing cash flow projections, managing daily cash positions, and optimizing liquidity structures.
  • Strong understanding of treasury operations, banking instruments, trade financing, and cash management best practices. Well-versed in accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of financial markets, liquidity management, cash flow forecasting, and short-term investment strategies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills to engage with internal stakeholders and external financial institutions.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills for forecasting, variance analysis, and scenario planning. with the latest standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel (including financial formulas, pivot tables, and dashboards).
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage complex treasury operations independently. Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and handle multiple tasks effectively.
