Role Overview

We are seeking a
Senior Cloud Security Engineer
to lead the design and implementation of advanced
AWS and container security controls
under a global security program. You will secure multi-region cloud deployments, Kubernetes clusters, and virtualized workloads while enforcing
Zero Trust architectures
, automation, and compliance in a regulated financial environment.

This is a
hands-on, strategic role
for an expert in
cloud security, IaC, anomaly detection, and threat prevention at scale
.

Key Responsibilities

Network & VPC Security

  • Design multi-VPC architectures with subnet micro-segmentation and Transit Gateway routing.
  • Enforce Zero Trust network segmentation across workloads, users, and partners.
  • Apply ingress/egress controls using AWS Network Firewall, Security Groups, and NACLs.

Firewalling, DNS & Threat Prevention

  • Deploy AWS WAF, Network Firewall, and DNS protections.
  • Integrate EDR (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne) for EC2, container, and serverless workloads.
  • Define and enforce DLP/DLAP policies to prevent data exfiltration.

Encryption & Data Security

  • Implement encryption in-transit, at-rest, and in-use (KMS, ACM, HSM, TLS, Nitro Enclaves).
  • Automate cross-region key rotation and confidential computing protections.

Kubernetes & Virtualization Security

  • Harden EKS/ECS clusters and VMs with network policies, RBAC/ABAC, admission controllers.
  • Implement container image scanning and runtime security for Zero Trust compliance.

Anomaly Detection & Attack Prevention

  • Deploy AI/ML-based detection for network, DNS, and workload behaviors.
  • Lead threat modeling, red team exercises, and incident response pipelines.

Infrastructure as Code & Automation

  • Build secure Terraform modules and enforce compliance-as-code in CI/CD pipelines.
  • Automate posture drift detection and drive GitOps workflows for immutable security.

Observability & Incident Response

  • Design multi-region SIEM dashboards and automated alerting workflows.
  • Lead containment and automated response for compromised cloud or container workloads.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • 6 to 10 years in Cloud Security Engineering, AWS specialization required.
  • Expertise in
    VPC segmentation, Zero Trust, EKS/Kubernetes security
    , and virtualization security.
  • Proven experience with
    EDR, DLP/DLAP, DNS protection
    , and anomaly detection.
  • Hands-on with
    Terraform, IaC security automation, and CI/CD security pipelines
    .
  • Knowledge of encryption technologies (KMS, TLS, Nitro, Enclaves) and compliance frameworks (CIS, NIST, ISO, SOC2, GDPR, ASIC, ESMA).
  • Preferred Certifications
    : AWS Security Specialty, CKS, CISSP, CCSP, HashiCorp Terraform, SANS GIAC, ISO 27001
  • Immediate/ Early joiners will be highly preferred.
