Shift Charge Engineer

Job Description
- Operate the Facility as required by the demands of the Distribution System/ Load Dispatch Centre scheduling and despatch regime.
- Plan and coordinate work schedules and determine isolation requirements for short shutdowns and overhauls.
- Monitor shift team performance and notify of any shortcomings.
- Alert to any plant problems or hazards – both potential and existing, and to take appropriate, immediate action were found necessary, to deal with such.
- Maintain all required documentation and records required to comply with company policies and to fulfil legal and contractual obligations.
- Act as senior authorized person under the safety rules in respect of switching, isolation, and preparation the issuance and cancellation of safety documents.
- Perform any other tasks as requested by Operation Manager.
- Any other responsibilities that may be required, in the interests of the Company from time to time.
Job Requirement
- Degree of Engineering in Mechanical/Electrical or related field
- Hold 2nd Grade Steam Engineer & above
- At least 10 years of experience in boiler operations
- Experience in power plant will be added advantage
