Somerset Music at Plaza Damas is seeking dedicated and qualified candidates for the roles of Full Time Piano Teacher. Responsibilities:

  • Teach children, teenagers, and adults, including students with neurodiverse needs.
  • Demonstrate responsibility, punctuality, and commitment to scheduled lessons.
  • Collaborate with the center principal to develop and implement engaging new programs.
  • Contribute ideas, take initiative, and help create a positive and supportive environment for colleagues and students.
  • Maintain a cheerful, professional, and solution-focused attitude, fostering harmony within the team.
  • Build strong, respectful relationships with students, parents, and staff.
  • Conduct assessments and customize syllabi to meet the center's educational goals.
  • Stay updated on music education trends and propose innovative ideas for programs.
  • Uphold the company's standards of professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
  • Be able to fullfill work hour from Tuesday - Saturday, 10AM - 6PM.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Music or Music Education. (Preferred)
  • Minimum Grade 8 in Classical Piano (Trinity, ABRSM, or equivalent).
  • Minimum Grade 8 in Music Theory (Trinity, ABRSM, or equivalent).
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Bonus for candidates with experience in theater production, choral conducting, or classroom teaching.
