We are looking for a trustworthy and experienced leader to serve as the General Manager on the ground. You will be responsible for the entire business unit, driving regional commercial growth while ensuring the efficiency and regulatory compliance of our facility. This is a critical role for the company owner who is not on-site full-time.

Key Responsibilities

1. Commercial Growth & Export Sales (P&L Management):

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets in Malaysia and neighboring countries.
  • Manage key client accounts, negotiate supplier contracts, and oversee the order-to-cash cycle.
  • Control the business unit's budget, manage expenses, and report on the Profit & Loss (P&L) performance directly to the Director.

2. Production & International Logistics:

  • Oversee the day-to-day running of the facility, including the light production/assembly of frames, packaging, and quality control.
  • Manage export documentation, shipping, and customs coordination for cross-border deliveries.
  • Control stock of raw materials and finished goods, optimizing inventory for both local and export demand.

3. Compliance & Administration:

  • Ensure the facility operates in full compliance with all local Malaysian regulations (MBJB, JKKP, JAS).
  • Manage and lead the local team (hiring, training, performance reviews, and scheduling).
  • Coordinate with external consultants for necessary license renewals (WRT, BOMBA, MBJB Business License).
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of management experience in a leadership role, preferably within the Wholesale, Distribution, or Export/Trading sector in Malaysia.
  • Proven ability to manage a full Profit & Loss (P&L) statement and drive commercial results.
  • Strong practical knowledge of international logistics and trade documentation (FOB, CIF, customs clearance) for regional export.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia. (Proficiency in Mandarin/Chinese dialects is a significant advantage).
