Microbiology Specialist

Job Responsibility:

• Act as the approved signatory and Registered Food Analyst, ensuring all ISO17025 technical and quality requirements are implemented and maintained.
• Review and sign COA test reports with required opinions and interpretations.
• Perform sampling, microbiological testing, environmental monitoring, and ensure accurate, timely reporting in SAP for product release.
• Oversee quality control checks, method development, method validation, and calibration/maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Supervise lab analysts, provide training, schedule laboratory work, and manage lab inventory, supplies, and budget.
• Participate in PT programs and lead process improvements, CAPAs, quality objectives, and RCA investigations.
• Support GMP, GLP, FSSC22000, and ISO14001 audits

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Food Science/Technology, or a related science field
• Minimum 2 years' experience in Quality Control or Quality Assurance, preferably in an FMCG environment
• Strong team player with good interpersonal skills and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Skilled in method validation and measurement uncertainty (MU) calculations, with understanding of ISO17025 requirements
• Registered Food Analyst under the Malaysian Food Analyst Council is an added advantage
